OUR STORY

The Silver Lining Club is a safe space for everything relating to mental health.

The March 2019 issue features voices from The Naked Professor, Dr Patrizia Collard, Jo Emerson and much more.

We include your stories and we delve into the taboo topics of mental health.

ELLIE POTTER
SUB -EDITOR

When she’s not writing about all things blue such as the weather and water, you’ll find Ellie dancing at a festival or travelling on a plane abroad. She believes it is important to talk about mental health as no one should suffer in silence and we should all feel like it is okay not be okay.

LAUREN BURNS
EDITOR

As a strong-believer in honesty and openness, Lauren thinks it’s important to talk about the tough stuff. She’s on a mission to get people talking as she knows from personal experience how  beneficial it can be. When she’s not working, you can catch her scrolling through social media searching for memes with a glass of red in hand.

LILY HEWITSON, MAGAZINE DESIGNER

The promotion of positive mental health is important to Lily, as a sufferer of anxiety herself. One of her passions, makeup, has fuelled an investigation into emotional attatchments towards beauty products. When she’s not blending eye shadow, Lily can be found sipping green tea in a London cafe or wearing a pair of muddied wellies on a country walk with her puppy, Tessie.

Helping to break the stigma and checking the facts we think we already know. Alice looks into the link between pets and the mind and exploring what PMS really means for your mental health. When taking time away from her desk, Alice will spend her free time walking her dog on the beach, swimming or getting her hands stuck into some baking.
